"Sở" Flower festival 2016 officially kicked off on Dec. 10 at Dong Long hamlet, Dong Tam commune (Binh Lieu district) attracting a great number of participants.

The 3-day festival aims to promote the district’s landscape, people and uphold cultural values, as well as its advantages for tourism development, thereby attracting investments into Binh Lieu to develop it into a tourist attraction.
During the event, locals and tourists took part in a wide range of cultural activities namely folk song competition, traditional fashion show, folk games, art performance and visiting tourism spots within the district. Especially, they had a chance to enjoyed an art show "Binh Lieu's impression" by local and Chinese artists.
Located in the northeast of Quang Ninh, about 270 km from Hanoi, Binh Lieu District attracts high number of visitors thanks to its high mountains, terraced rice fields and beautiful reed fields. Binh Lieu is compared as 'little Sa Pa' by backpack tourists with its four-season-in-one-day climate and pristine landscapes.
