Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang works with Amata group

On Aug.5, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang had a working session with Chairman of Board of Thailand's Amata group, Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, regarding the Group’s investment proposals in the province.

Mr. Vikrom Kromadit commits that the group will put high priority to ensure environmental issues in implementing the projects in Quang Ninh.

Currently, Quang Ninh has 3 projects invested by Thai investors, in which Amata Group is implementing the construction of the Infrastructure project of Song Khoai Industrial Park in Quang Yen Town, which commenced in late 2018. This 714-ha project with the total capital of more than US$155 million USD is expected to be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2020. In addition, Amata Group proposed to build Amata Halong smart city with a total area of 1,720ha in Uong Bi City and Quang Yen Town.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Amata Group Vikrom Kromadit sincerely thanked Quang Ninh's leaders for their concerns and support so that the Group could carry out their projects in the province.

Mr. Vikrom Kromadit commits that the group will put high priority to ensure environmental issues in implementing the projects in Quang Ninh. Having said that, he also hoped Quang Ninh would be a bridge connecting the Amata group with other Quang Ninh's existing investors so that they could cooperate with the others to continue their projects' implementation and expand investment in Van Don Economic Zone and Hai Ha district.

Speaking at the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang made a brief introduction of Quang Ninh's recent results of the socio-economic development. He highly appreciated the Amata group companion with Quang Ninh, and stressed that Amata Group is identified as one of Quang Ninh's strategic investors.

The Chairman of Quang Ninh entirely agreed with the group's proposals, and wished that the construction progress of projects implemented in Quang Ninh would be sped up so that they could be completed and go into operation as soon as possible.
