Vice-Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has urged Quang Ninh province to intensify managing the operation of tourist boats in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.
He assigned the Ministry of Transport in collaboration with relevant agencies to promulgate specific criteria and requirements for the tourist boats operating in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, and aksed the Ministry of Public Security to fulfill regulations on fire prevention and fire fighting.
Also, the Vice PM requested Ministry of Cutlure, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Justice, as well as Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to review current regulations to propose appropriate legal documents on organisation and operation of tourism activities in Ha Long Bay to submit the Prime Mninister for consideration. These legal documents need to ensure the promotion of the outstanding universal values of the Ha Long Bay World Natural heritage site.
