In 2019, for the first time, Quang Ninh received 14 mil. tourist arrivals, including 6.5 international arrivals. These impressive firgures showed that Quang Ninh is on the right track in innovating tourism development, thereby becoming the top attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
Besides the magnet of the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage and Wonder, Quang Ninh has also attracted tourists with diversified and high-class tourism products. Moreover, the operation of the key transport projects such as Hai Phong – Ha Long – Van Don highway, Van Don International Airport, Ha Long International Cruise Port contributed to ease the travel of tourists.
Accommodation facilities meeting international standards have been built. Tourism business environment has been ensured. With the breakthroughs in 2019, it is feasible for Quang Ninh to reach the target to receive 15.5 mil. tourist arrivals, including 6.5 foreign arrivals in 2020.
