On Nov 12th, a delegation from Ministry of Education and Training led by its Deputy Minister, Nguyen Van Phuc had a meeting with Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy regarding the co-organization of the 8th Asian Mathematical Conference (AMC) in Ha Long City.
The AMC is scheduled to take place from July 28th – 31st, 2020 at Quang Ninh’s Exhibiton of Planning and Expo Center with the participation of 800 both domestic and international mathematicians. The event is held every 4 years by Southeast Asian Mathematical Society. This is the first time for Vietnam to host the conference.
Speaking at the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman affirmed that AMC was an international event. The conference gathering the world’s leading mathematicians not only plays important role in mathematic researches in Vietnam but also helps advertising Quang Ninh’s image of land and people
