Quang Ninh targets 17 million visitors in 2024
Quang Ninh province will continue taking a range of measures to boost its tourism market and look to serve 17 million tourists in 2024.
In 2023, Quang Ninh welcomed 15.5 million tourist arrivals, including two million foreigners, and earn more than VND33 trillion from tourism.
The province has taken a range of measures to boost its tourism market, with a focus on projects for restoring the tourism industry, developing sustainable community tourism development and implementing a master plan for marine tourism management in Ha Long Bay, Van Don and Co To.
In order to attract both domestic and foreign tourists, it has stepped up tourism promotion activities, created new tourism products and services and those with regional linkage, develop a safe tourism programme, and select typical and safe tourism products to introduce to travel and tourism businesses.
Quang Ninh is home to over 620 historical, cultural and tourist attractions. Of these, there are three special national relics: Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu historical relic in Uong Bi city and Bach Dang historical relic in Quang Yen town. Additionally, the locality houses a number of classic relics that include the royal tombs of Tran Kings, Cua Ong temple, Tra Co communal house, Cai Bau pagoda, Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen monastery and Long Tien pagoda.
Such spiritual tourist areas draw visitors from across the country, especially during spring festivals. It offers them a chance to learn about the culture and beauty of Quang Ninh and its people.
Other cultural and recreational areas, namely Ha Long Bay, Sun World Recreational Park, Quang Ninh museum, etc., have also attracted plenty of tourists.

According to the province’s plan on tourism recovery and sustainable development to 2025, with orientations to 2030, Quang Ninh aims to make its tourism a spearhead and sustainable economic sector by 2030, attracting at least 25.5-26 million visitors, including about 9 million foreigners.
