On Jun.17, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long made an urgent formal request to the leaders of the relevant departments including Provincial Military Headquarters, Defense Headquaters, Department of Transport, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial steering Committee for Search and Rescue and other functional organisations to support searching for CASA-213 number 8983.
In addition, chairmen of the related localilities, namely Cam Pha, Ha Long, Quang Yen, Van Don, Co To, Mong Cai, Dam Ha, Hai Ha need to urgently inform their marine vehicles to actively involve in searching activities.
As informed, Vietnam lost contact with a CASA maritime reconnaissance aircraft of the Vietnam Coast Guard with nine people on board in the waters off the coast of the northern city of Hai Phong on Thursday when it was out searching for the missing Su-30MK2 fighter pilot Tran Quang Khai.
