Under the framework of the Vietnam Startup Innovation Day (Techfest) 2019 which takes place from Dec. 4-6 in Quang Ninh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy welcomed Techfest delegates led by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology at a courtesy meeting on Dec. 4.
At the reception, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy gave an overview of Quang Ninh's innovations in recent years. With high determination of the entire political system, Quang Ninh has seen rapid changes and development, becoming one of the economic centers of the region and the country. In 2019, Quang Ninh received14 million tourist arrivals.
She also focused on innovative start-up activities in Quang Ninh which have been widely spread to all classes of people and businesses. Having said that, she hoped the Techfest 2019 in Quang Ninh would be successfully. This will be an opportunity to attract a large number of corporations and investors to join hands to support the development of Vietnam's innovative start-up ecosystem.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung highlighted Quang Ninh's great achievement in many fields and said that with beautiful scenery, modern infrastructure, Quang Ninh is a suitable place to organize international events. Hosting Techfest 2019 helps to introduce Quang Ninh's potential to the investors.
He hoped that after the event, many investors would come back to Quang Ninh to explore investment opportunities and expand their business development.
