Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long had a working session with a delegation of foreign investors who came to Quang Ninh to seeks for investment opportunities in logistic and environment treatment projects on Jul. 8, in Ha Long city.
At the working session, the Chairman of Quang Ninh made a brief introduction to the guests about Quang Ninh's advantages for economic development and its development orietation. He especially stressed that Quang Ninh recognized the important role of the plannings to the future development of the province. Therefore, all the key plannings of the province was conducted by the world's famous consultants. In addition, all plannings were widely announced in public so that not only domestic but also international investors could find the investment opportunities in Quang Ninh.
Emphasizing on tourism, one of the key sectors in the economic development, Quang Ninh's chairman also talked about tourism potential and a great number of attractions of the province. In order to effectively tap all of its tourism potential, it is important to balance the exploitation and conservation, therefore Quang Ninh always puts high priority on conservation and envionmental protection and treatment.
The Chairman highly appreciated the support of the investors for Quang Ninh's development. He also suggested that in order to sucessfully carry out the projects in Quang Ninh, the investors should hire international professional consultants to develop the project proposals and detail plans.
Related to the proposals of logistic projects, Quang Ninh's chairman asked the investors to pay attention to the strategies to connect in marine transportation and promote the existing advantages of the province in this field.
In term of the projects on environmental treatment, he requested the investors to prioritize Ha Long Bay's enviornment treatment and the projects on collecting daily waste water along the coast of the Bay.
In turns, the investors presented some of the projets implemented in other countries, and the latest technologies in dealing with environmental problems. They also wished to explore investment opportunities in logistic and environmetal treatment projects in Quang Ninh, and pledged to strictly combine with the Vietnam's regulations.
