Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee Do Thi Hoang last Saturday had a courtesy meeting in Ha Long city with Bangladesh Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on the occasion of her visit to Quang Ninh.
On behalf of the Quang Ninh's leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary Do Thi Hoang sent greetings and warmly welcomed the delegation to Quang Ninh province. She then congratulated Bangladesh on its achievements in the socio and economic development in recent years.
At the meeting, Mrs. Do Thi Hoang made a brief introduction about Quang Ninh's potential and advantages for socio-economic development. She also strongly affirmed that with its strengths and advantages, along with the transport infrastructure which is being invested,, Quang Ninh always attaches much importance to boosting the cooperation tie with Bangladesh's localitities in all fields, especially in tourism, services and industry.
For her part, Bangladesh Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury admired the beauty of Ha Long Bay and highly appreciated the socio-economic development of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular. She wished that this visit would help tighten the cooperation and traditional friendship between the two countries.
Early, Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and her entourage had visited Halong Bay, the World Natural Heritage Site.
