Quang Ninh's Chairman urges to accomplish 2018's socio-economic target

On Sep. 20, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long chaired a meeting to evaluate the socio-economic performance in the first nine months of the year.

As reported, the province sees drammatical changes in all the areas. Particularly, the economic growth rate increased by 10.7%, which is the highest growth ever in comparision with the same period of the past six years; the total of export turnover is estimated at USD1.310 million, up 10% over the same period last year.

Also in the first nine months of the year, the total provincial budget collection was estimated to gain VND 30,739 billion. The progress of the key projects was ensured. Especially in July the Van Don International Airport welcomed the first aircraft, marking an important milestone in preparations for putting the airport into official operation later this year. The Hanoi-Haiphong expressway went into use, on the occasion of the National Independence Day, making contributions to bolstering socio-economic development in the northern key economic region. Some of the other key projects are being at burst of speed.

Quang Ninh continues pays much attention to social welfare, national programes regarding sustainable poverty reduction, the new rural construction continues to be actively conducted.

Speaking at the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long asked all units, sectors, and departments and localities in the province to speed up to achieve all the targets of the year, especially ganing the highest result in socio-economic development fousing on fulfilling the socio-economic task with higest result.

He also directed relevant sectors to attach importance to improving the business climate, alluring investment into the province, and unfastening dificulties facing the enterprises which are running businesses within Quang Ninh.

Quang Ninh’s chairman also requested the relevant sectors and departments to intensifying the management of the issues related to the capital construction, land clearance, project progress, as well as enhancing state management in the fields of land, plannings, environment, and resources.

In addition, he urged fucntional authorities to continue ensuring the social welfare, effectively conducting robust measures to enhance the quality of natural environment, and pay much attention to administrative reform.
