For quick cargo release, the unloading units have prepared appropriate equipment, manpower to load, unload and transport over 10,000 tons of coal in about 10 days. The 292m long and 45m wide ANNOU MAX ship with the largest water level of 18.32 m, departing from Australia’s Abbot Port, has carried 105,305 tons of coal to Vietnam. The coal will be granted to units such as Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN), Hoa Phat Group, some thermal power, steel and cement plants nationwide.
Thanks to the administrative procedure reform and technology application, Quang Ninh seaport area has provided favorable conditions for large capacity ships to handle cargo.
This important event has affirmed Quang Ninh’s advantage of deep water port which can receive super-long and super-weight ships.
