On Oct 26th, in Ha Long City, the 14th session of the Quang Ninh People’s Council (13th tenure) for the 2016-2021 term opened. Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee, cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky presided over the session.
Addressing the session, Secretary of the Quảng Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky, highlighted that Quang Ninh is focusing on arranging administrative units at district and communal levels for the period 2019-2021. Especially, during the implementation of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee’s Resolution No.18-NQ/TU dated Oct.2nd, 2019 on expanding administrative boundary and development space for Ha Long City and Hoanh Bo District, the province has received high consensus from people at all levels.
In this session, basing on reports submitted by Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, 100% of attendants approved with the following contents:
(1) the plan of arranging administrative units at district and communal levels for the period 2019-2021
(2) the merger, dissolution, and changing name of hamlets and villages in Quang Ninh in the period of 2019-2021
(3) the plan of recognizing Dong Trieu Town as 3rd-grade urban area of Quang Ninh
(4) the addition of a number of key transportation investment projects to mid-term public investment plan with provincial budgets for the period of 2016-2020
(5) the adjustment and supplement of mid-term public investment plan with provincial budgets for the period of 2016-2020
(6) the adjustment of investment policy in the mid-term public investment plan with provincial budgets for the period of 2016-2020
(7) the investment policy for 2 urban area projects in Ha Long City and Mong Cai City.

(9) the adjustment of provincial budget expenditure 2019.
