On Jan. 22, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman chaired a meeting to review a list of missions to ensure the most favorable conditions for tourists visiting Quang Ninh on Tet occasion.
Since the beginning of January, all of the cities and districts across the province have paid much attention to a range of activities such as keeping the environment clean, green and beautiful, redecorating infrastructure system and residential areas, preparing clean food and locally-made OCOP goods and so on, reported by the Department of Tourism.
Additionally, localities have built up their own plans to organize various impressive art shows and recreational activities, especially those which refer to traditional customs and cultural space, contributing to introducing and promoting traditional cultural features of a traditional Tet festival.
In detail, the localities are going to launch spring fairs displaying flowers and bonsai trees, New Year’s Eve and Khai But (writing for the first time) programs. Ha Long Sun Company Limited is going to organize a flower festival at Dragon Park in Ha Long city. Quang Ninh Au Lac Company Limited is going to hold traditional art performances and lion-dragon dance shows at the Tuan Chau Tourist Wharf, etc.
At the meeting, participants discussed a variety of relevant issues concerning security, communications and so on.
To conclude the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy asked the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Tourism and relevant departments and localities to complete their plans soon. She also reminded them of the province’s prime target to provide visitors to Quang Ninh with a safe and meaningful Tet holiday.
