Quang Ninh: Domestic tourism to reopen from 0am September 21

This information was released at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held on Sept. 20 under the chairmanship of the provincial Party Secretary, Nguyen Xuan Ky.

Quang Ninh has gone through 84 days without any new Covid-19 infected cases detected within the community. The authorities and local people have already taken drastic and systematic measures against this fatal disease.

Notably, the immunization campaign launched in 13 phases provincewide has almost been completed. More than 1 million Covid-19 vaccine doses have so far been offered to those who meet medical requirements, significantly contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy place amid the pandemic.

Quang Ninh has been listed among localities which have actively undertaken synchronous technological solutions to prevent and control Covid-19. Functional agencies and forces have upgraded the information accessing mechanisms so that all information on Covid-19 and relevant issues appears to be available, accessible and disseminated among the population.

People and vehicles entering and going out of the province have been under strict control at various Covid-19 checkpoints across the province.

Community-based tests for Covid-19 have proactively and effectively conducted to timelily detect any possible case. It is reported that 301,011 samples have been tested since August 11, using both the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing method and rapid tests.

Therefore, the provincial authorities have agreed to open domestic travel from 0am on September 21. Tourism businesses and tourist sites are required to have good preparation for welcoming visitors back to the sites in line with safety regulations issued by the province and the Ministry of Health.
