On Dec 12th, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting to deploy socio-economic missions for the year of 2020. Quang Ninh’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang presided over the meeting.
In 2019, Quang Ninh gained the significant socio-economic achievements. Specifically, economic growth increased at 12%. Total stage budget collection is beyond provincial People’s Council’s estimate. Quang Ninh’s business and investment environment and competitiveness capacity have been improved. Land clearance and the construction progress of key projects, especially in the field of transportation, tourism and services, infrastructure in economic zones and and industrial parks have been ensured…
Regarding socio-economic missions for the year of 2020, Quang Ninh sets targets of achieving GRDP at 12%; total state budget collection not less than 48 trillion VND; welcoming 15.5 million tourist arrivals including 6.5 million foreign tourist arrivals; and establishing at least 2,840 new businesses.
To conclude the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman emphasized that 2020 would be a vital year as it marks the final year of the term 2015-2020 and 5-year plan (2016-2020). Therefore, he asked localities and departments to actively and comprehensively carry out missions to ensure fast but sustainable development.
