On July 28, the Ministry of Health awarded Certificates of Excellence for Breastfeeding Practice Hospital, Little Sun consulting room for child nursing to Quang Ninh Obstetrics & Pediatrics Hospital and opened Quang Ninh Breast Milk Bank.
Quang Ninh Obstetrics & Pediatrics Hospital is the first excellent one in the North of Vietnam applying breastfeeding practice model, strictly following the process of supporting mothers to breastfeed within the first 90 minutes after birth and before leaving the hospital.
Quang Ninh Breast Milk Bank - the third one in the country and the first one in the North – can provide breast milk to nearly 1,000 babies in Quang Ninh Obstetrics & Pediatrics Hospital and nearly 20,000 babies at nearby hospitals. This event affirmed the efforts of doctors and nurses from Quang Ninh Obstetrics & Pediatrics Hospital, ensuring children to get the best care by breast milk.
