Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has recently issued Decision N0 3675/QĐ-UBND on the approval of the master plan on Quang Ninh aquaculture development till 2020, with a vision towards 2030.
The aim of the master plan is to develop Quang Ninh aquaculture in the orientation of modernization; develop hi-quality products for domestic markets and export; actively produce and manage over serises of products in line with environmental protection and dealing with climate change; improve the incomes and living standard of fishermen, and contribute to the country’s defence and security on sea and island areas.
Also under the plan, by the year of 2020, the sector targets to gain 135,000 tons in the total aqualculture production and VND 6,000 billion in revenue; the aquaculture sectorstrives to take up over 3% in the Gross Regional Domestic Product of Quang Ninh, …
By 2030, Quang Ninh aims to gain around 176,000 tons of the total aqualculture production, and nearly VND9,000 billiion in revenue; the aquaculture export value is targeted at over US$200 million.
The total capital demand during the peiod of 2020-2030 is estimated around VND4,100 billion. Of which, the capital source for the 2018-2020 period and the 2021-2030 is nearly VND1,300 billion and more than VND2,800 billion, respectively.
