On Aug. 27, in Ha long city, Vice Chairman of QNPPC Dang Huy Hau had a meeting with a delegation of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry led by Vice Minister Bui Cach Tuyen regarding the implementation of Planning for Environment and Project on Environmental improvement, environmental protection and biodiversity conservation in Quang Ninh.
Speaking at the meeting, Hau emphasized on Quang Ninh's proposals to the ministry, such as: inapppropriate technology use of the neighbouring provinces in producing bricks and ciment is seriously impacting the envronment of Quang Ninh; the need of management enhancement of the eco-systems in Quang Ninh; providing financial support for environmental protection projects; establishing legal framework to strengthen the protection of Ha Long Bay. Particularly, Hau recommended the Ministry to introduce investors and technology in treating solid watse to the province. He pleadged that Quang Ninh will provide the investors with the best conditions during their implementation in Quang Ninh.
For his part, Mr. Bui Cach Tuyen highly appriciated the efforts in environmental protection that Quang Ninh and enterprises in the province have made in recent years. He affirmed that he will propose the Government and other revelant ministries to assist Quang Ninh to create the most favorable conditions in implementing environmental protection so that the province could effectively and successfully transfer its growth model.
Mr. Bui cach Tuyen affirmed that the Natural Resources and Environment ministry would strongly support Quang Ninh in building plants treating solid waste, conserving bioidiversity and offering training classes on environmental monirtoring.
