On August 13, in Quan Lan commune, Van Don district, Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Van Don district’s People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on preserving and anti-degrading Quan Lan communal house.
Quan Lan is the only communal house in Vietnam worshipping the statue of King Le Anh Tong who established Van Don town in 1149 and talented general Tran Khanh Du who protected Van Don. Over years, the communal house has been seriously degraded, especially the wooden structure system.
The 25.5 billion VND above-mentioned project is invested by the Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports, including components such as embellishing main building, four pillars, kitchen, yard, fence etc. The project is expected to be completed within 2020.
