The pedestrian street started its operation in Tran Phu street in May, 2015 and expanded to its neighbour, Hoa Lac street in April, 2016. The whole pedestrian zone stretching about 2 kilometers in length opens at 7.30pm and close at 10pm from Wednesday to Sunday every week. Closing time may be kept later during holidays and at weekends.

This street is car-free, serves as a meeting place, and provides space for commerce, music, art, and other community activities. This is one of a wide range of programs aiming to promote the city’s tourist products and services until 2020, with a vision to 2030.

Locals and tourists have a chance to taste traditional Vietnamese and Chinese food, visit Quang Ninh One Commune, One product (OCOP) kiosks which display and sell a wide range of the province’s specialties, and enjoy performances by street music bands.

Visitors often find it awesome to enjoy various services along the street or simply walk along the park on the bank of beautiful Ka Long river and capture some pictures of a dynamic Mong Cai at night.

In addition, the street is also fully equipped with utilities such as free wifi, security cameras, and toilets.

This destination has created a strong impression on visitors and made a significant contribution to the development of Mong Cai tourism.
