On Jan. 18, at the provincial library, the opening ceremony of Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 has been held. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Hong Cam, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department and representatives from Quang Ninh Journalists Association, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Communication and Information, local and central press agencies, as well as a great number of readers in the province.
There are over 300 publications from the central and local newspapers agencies displayed in the festival this year. They are classified into various sections, such as: art and literature; science and technology; politics, society and economy so that readers could easily find the one they like to read.
The Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 is one of the activities commencing a series of cultural activities with the topic of “To the Party - Happy spring of the Year of Dragon 2012”. With the variety in exposition, diversity of publications and abundant information, the festival will be a rewarding activity for the local people and visitors on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.
This year Newspaper Festival will take place from Jan. 18 to Feb. 28, 2012.
