According to the Governmental Portal, many localities have announced they will not to put on firework displays for the lunar New Year, after the Party Central Committee Secretariat meeting organizing the lunar New Year 2017.
Accordingly, Dao Tan Bang, Chief Office of Da Nang City Party Committee, signed a document on the conclusion of the Standing Board of Da Nang City Party Committee on no firework displays for the lunar New Year. Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh also signed a document on organizing activities economically on this occasion.
Secretary of Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Doc also asked localities not to celebrate the lunar New Year with fireworks. Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee also asked committees, agencies and localities to strictly implement the contents of Instruction 11-CT/TU of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on organizing lunar New Year 2017 to spend time and expenditure to organize Tet for the poor.
Director of Hanoi City Department of Culture and Sports To Van Dong also said that the city decided the city decided to display fireworks at 30 places with a total expenditure of VND 10 billion. However, the city will implement Instruction 11-CT/TU of the Party Central Committee Secretariat.
