On Jan. 26, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) Tran Van Thuat joined the provincial leaders at a ceremony gathering for workers at Cai Lan Industrial Park in Ha Long city.
The event named “Tet sum vay- Lunar New Year Reunion” was held by the Quang Ninh Provincial Labour Confederation to present nearly 1,000 Tet gifts, including 400 bus tickets to send workers home to gather with their family members for the biggest festival of the year.
Besides, other activities such as selling on-sale goods, free changing motobike oil, and folk games were also organized for the workers. On this accasion, the Organization Board also honoured enterprises and units who have greatly supported the workers during the year.
Lunar New Year Reunion is one of the most significant activities by the Quang Ninh Provincial Confederation of Labour in an effort to encourage and support the workersto enjoy a happy upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet). This is also an opportunity for them to share their wishes during the work.
On behalf of the leaders of the Provincial leaders, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy hailed the great efforts of the trade organizations at all levels and enterprises in taking care of the workers’ living. She extended New Year wishes to the trade union staffs, bussinessmen, workers and their families.
