According to news released from Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial tourism sector has received around 486,500 tourist arrivals, up 8% in comparison with the same period last year of which international tourist arrivals gains 285,000, up 9%; the tourists visiting Ha Long Bay is 197,000 arrivals, a rise of 15% over the year of 2012. The total tourism revenue reaches VND 318.2 billion, seeing an increase of 13%.
Also in Jan. 2013, Quang Ninh tourism received a great number of visits from luxury cruiseships, which shows the good results in tourism promotion as well as effective intensification in trade management of the province.
