The National Tourism Year 2013 will open on May 11 in the Northern port city of Hai Phong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Duy Linh told a press conference on Saturday.
The event themed “The Red River civilization” will take place during the whole year with the participation of 13 provinces and cities to mark the 58th liberation anniversary of Hai Phong.
Mr. Linh said the city is improving its tourism facilities and training 300 volunteers for the event.
National Tourism Year is a famed brand name which is designed to help international friends to know more about the local cultural identities./.
