On Apr 10, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presided over a national online conference with localities nationwide to discuss urgent tasks and solutions to solve difficulties for business production, social welfare, social order and safety in the context of Covid 19 pandemic. Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, and Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Thang, attended the online conference.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Thang, affirmed that at present, disease prevention is being well controlled in Quang Ninh, ensuring safety for locals and businesses and production activities of enterprises in the province. In parallel with disease prevention and control, Quang Ninh has effectively undertaken solutions to ensure socio-economic growth targets.
In order to solve difficulties at the moment, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang also proposed the Government a number of issues, such as: allowing Quang Ninh province to use the budget capital to participate in PPP investment projects, promptly approving the project on establishment of Quang Yen coastal economic zone to faciliate investment attraction, allowing foreign experts’ entry to serve the operation of Texhong Group's production lines in Quang Ninh.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked localities to continue strictly implementing the Government’s Directive No.16 on urgent measures against Covid 19 with more proactie and creative manners, turning risks into opportunities for development.
