On Jan 30th, Quang Ninh Provincial Standing Party’s Committee held a meeting on prevention against acute respiratory infection caused by novel Coronavirus nCoV. The meeting, presided over by Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, was held online with Mong Cai City, Hai Ha District, and Binh Lieu District.
Facing the complicated situation caused by nCoV in China, Quang Ninh has taken initiative in preventing the disease with synchronous and decisive measures. On Jan 22nd, Quang Ninh Provincial Standing Party’s Committee issued a Directive on the disease prevention and control. On Jan 23rd, Quang Ninh People’s Committee promulgated an urgent dispatch to ask departments and localities to carry out intense measures against the disease. On Jan 28th, Quang Ninh held an online meeting, chaired by the Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, with all localities in the province on the implementation of disease prevention and control.
At this meeting, representatives from departments and localities of Mong Cai, Hai Ha, and Binh Lieu gave brief reports on the disease prevention and control in line with the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, and provincial authority’s guidance. They also suggested some solutions to contain infection and prevent disease outbreak.
The Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, emphasized that Quang Ninh’s foremost target was no disease and no disease outbreak, especially in border localities; protecting of local people’s health and life; minimizing fatalities caused by the disease while ensuring socio-economic development.
