On Nov. 21, in Ha Long city, QNPPC had a meeting with the McKinsey & Company to comment on the draft of the Quang Ninh’s socio and economic development master plan. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Pham Minh Chinh, and attended by Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of QNPPC along with other leaders of relevant provincial departments.
At the meeting, representative of the McKinsey & Company has made a presentation on the master plan, including the issues of forests and sea economy; the construction of Van Don-Mong Cai special economic-administrative zone; the province’s direction in terms of labor force, as well as investment attraction...For each issuse raised in the presentation, the provincial leaders have discussed and contributed their ideas in order to help the consultant unit to complete this master plan.
To conclude the meeting, General Secretary Chinh highly appreciated the active working attitude of McKinsey. He also required the unit to further workd on the comments given by the provincial leaders at the meeting to have the highest practical master plan. In addition, Chinh would like the McKinsey & Company to give more initiatives and suggested more robust measures for ovaralll development of Quang Ninh.
