Describing the beauty of Ha Long Bay into paintings to present tourists or introducing the bay to them through galleries and exhibitions at tourism attractions like Vung Vieng or Cua Van on Ha Long Bay is what many artists often do in an effort to create unique souvenirs for tourists visiting Ha Long Bay. This activity has been conducted since August, 2009.
At the exhibition on sustainable tourism development featured from the heritage's values and cultural history of Ha Long Bay, which was held in April 2018 at Cua Van Floating Cultural Center, visitors were extremely excited to be gifted with landscape paintings or portraits painted with the beautiful scenery of the bay. This exhibition has become an annual special occasion during tourism season or at the outstanding tourism events of the province.
This is just one of many meaningful and practical activities of the artists, members of the Quang Ninh's Association of Literature and Art in association with tourism development. Over the years, the Association has skillfully advertised Quang Ninh's tourism via their art works in terms of drawings, photos, or songs with the aim of promoting the beauty of Ha Long Bay and attracting more tourists to Quang Ninh.
Many exhibitions and galleries have been opened to display impressive works, offering visitors a comprehensive look about Quang Ninh's land and its people. Here, they can buy their favorite paintings as interesting souvenirs of Ha Long.
In the field of folk arts, in recent years, Quang Ninh Association of Literature and Art has undertaken a wide range of useful activities associated with tourism development, including research activities, collecting unique features at folk festivals or traditional cultural features of ethnic groups. These are considered as materials that create typical tourism values and offer attractive experiences for tourists once coming to the province.
In addition, other types of art performances, such as: Water puppet show; traditional festivals, folk games which have been comprised in the major art shows of the province like Carnival Ha Long, creating unique tourism products of Quang Ninh, alluring a great deal of visitors each year. Visiting Quang Ninh, they not only have chances to admire Ha Long Bay's beauty but also discover typical cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities in Quang Ninh through images and articles which are displayed at Quang Ninh Museum or exhibitions. In addition, music and dancing performances, as well as photography activities have also contributed to promoting Quang Ninh’s landscapes, beauty, people and their daily-life activities.
