Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long had a coutersy meeting last week with a delegation from Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam led by its President and General Manager, Mr. Tetsu Funayama who came to Quang Ninh to explore business climate and investment opportunities in Quang Ninh.
"Quang Ninh is undertaking robust measures to attract investments and Japan is regarded as a reliable strategic partner", said the Chairman at the meeting. Accordingly, a MoU was signed between Quang Ninh province and JETRO Ha Noi, Japan Desk was also set up to effectively assist Japanese businesses. In addition, in order to attract more foreign investors, especially the Japanese ones, Quang Ninh is concentrating on investing in transport infrastructure. Accordingly a series of the key projects on transport are being implemented and will be completed before 2020, such as: the highway project connecting Ha Noi- Hai Phong with Ha Long and Mong Cai; the Quang Ninh International Airport,...
Along with that, adminisatrative procedures are effectively reformed to offer the investors the best conditions during their investments in Quang Ninh.
Mr. Tetsu Funayama, in turns, sincerely thanked Quang Ninh's leaders for their warm reception. He said that in 2 days working in Quang Ninh, the company worked with relevant departments to further explore about Quang Ninh's socio -economic situation, as well as possible investment opportunities in the province.
After the meeting, the delegation visited Mong Cai and other districts. On April 21, the company had a working session with Texhong group to seek for possible cooperation and investment opportunities before wraping up their visit.
