The 2018 Japanese Cherry Blossom and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot Flower Festival will take place from Mar. 24-28, in Uong Bi city, reported the Culture and Information Division of Uong Bi city.
The main activities of the event include an opening ceremony and Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange, a display of around 5,000 cherry branches, 50 cherry trees and 120 Yen Tu yellow apricot trees, an exhibition of Japanese traditional cultural features…
Under the title “Cooperation and Development”, the event, as part of National Tourism Year 2018, is expected to promote tourism, culture and trade of Quang Ninh in general and Uong Bi city in particular.
Responding to the 2018 National Tourism Year, Uong Bi city will host 9 ramarkable events .Of which, the highlight is the 2018 Japanese Cherry and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot blossom festival that has been organised in the city for the first time.
