Despite heavy rain, tens of thousands of spectators stayed on to enjoy the “Quang Ninh – A City Shining into the Future” art programme, filling the venue in raincoats to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh City. Their enthusiasm, combined with stirring melodies of pride, spectacular lighting effects and dazzling fireworks illuminating the rainy sky, created an unforgettable night filled with excitement and emotion.
The “Quang Ninh – A City Shining into the Future” art programmeThe Vietnam Records Council officially recognised the concert “Quang Ninh – A City Shining into the Future” as a Vietnam Record for being the largest multi-space performing arts programme held along a World Heritage Bay, with the highest number of in-person spectators in Vietnam.In addition to light sticks, spectators also brought raincoats and umbrellas to cope with the weather.The traditional drum performance made a strong impression on spectators and local residents.
The stage came alive with meticulously choreographed performances, recreating Quang Ninh’s journey of renewal and highlighting the spirit, resilience and distinctive character of the Mining Region.The song “My Homeland, the Mining Land” expressed the pride of generations of Quang Ninh people in the province’s rich historical and revolutionary traditions and its heroic mining heritage.Many spectators used their mobile phones to capture these memorable and special moments.
