Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park: Safe production in times of COVID-19
Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park is now home to 18 secondary investors, including 15 enterprises who have accomplished constructing their factories and commenced their production and business activities. All businesses have actively developed plans to ensure safe production in the context of Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses have actively formulated plans on preventing the spreading of the virus while maintaining production activities in factories.
The Government’s Resolution No.128 has created much more favorable conditions for businesses in production and business activities. However, the risk of infections invading workshops and factories is still high; several F0s were detected in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park last month resulted in the disruption of some production lines. Therefore, we have asked secondary investors in the Industrial Park to stay alert and review every stage of pandemic prevention and control activities, Deputy General Director of Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park, Fu Qi Gang, said.
Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd., one of the enterprises recognizing F0s, has actively reviewed and adpopted additional plans for Covid-19 prevention and control. The company has set up a steering committee on preventing and controlling Covid-19¸ purchased over 1,200 boxes of medical masks, over 700 bottles of hand sanitizer, over 600 protective suits, and especially over 18,000 antigen rapid tests, 1,000 Realtime - PCR test samples.
To ensure safety, workers are quickly tested when taking their shifts. If suspected cases are detected, they will be quarantined in an isolated area and reported to the local authorities and health sectors.
Along with upgrading the level of epidemic prevention and control, Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd also actively develops a plan to maintain production if F0 cases appear in workshops and factories. Instead of gathering workers to participate in production at the same time in 4 workshops, the unit has currently arranged workers to work 3 shifts/day.
“Our 4 production workshops have currently had about 3,500 workers. As part of the preventive measures, we have reorganized production activities and divided the number of workers into 3 small production shifts to avoid large gatherings of workers at the same time, limiting the risk of infection if there are F0 cases. Each shift has only about 200 workers, the rest takes a rotational break depending on the production line. This measure has helped the company maintain production operations in a safe, “new normal” situation, Deputy General Director of Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd, Qiu Dong Qun, said.
Thanks to such plans on safe production plans, businesses in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park have maintained their production and business activities, contributing to guaranteering the normal flow of the global production and supply chain.
