The information was released at a conference held on October 26 in Ha Long city.
The city welcomed 5.6 million tourist arrrivals in the first ten months of 2016, up 23 percent year-on-year. Total tourism revenue was estimated at nearly VND 6,400 billion, according to Ha Long city People's Commitee.
Ha Long city has promoted propaganda and education to raise the people's awareness of tourism development; enhanced the environmental protection, and all resources have been mobilized for transport infrastructure investment, the city's representative reports.
