Chairman of the People’s Committee of Uong Bi city has issued the Decision No. 1515/QĐ-UBND to grant titles of “Excellent Citizens and “Honorary Citizens" of the city.
This significant activity aims to encourage Uong Bi’s citizens who are living in the city and acknowledge their excellent achievements in the economy, culture, society, security and defence, greatly contributing to the construction and development of Uong Bi city and becoming good examples for the people to follow.
Individuals who are honored with the title of "Excellent Citizens" must have family register in Uong Bi city or are living, working and learning in the city. The ones who are considered to be awarded with the title of "Honorary Citizens" must be the Vietnamese people or foreigners who are not living and working in Uong Bi city or do not have family register in the city.
Individuals honored with the title of "Excellent Citizens" and "Honorary Citizens" will be granted with certificates and bonus that is equal to 5 times of the minimum salary rate. They will also be offered with free cable tickets to the Yen Tu national special relic site within 2 years. The title of Uong Bi city’s "Excellent Citizen" and "Honorary Citizen" will annually be awarded to no more than 5 individuals.
