On Jan. 28, the delegation of Fangchenggan zone led by the Secretary of the Fangchenggang Party’s Committee, Lu Haixin, paid a visit to Binh Lieu district on the occasion of upcoming Tet holiday.
At the meeting, the Secretary of Binh Lieu District Party’s Committee, Duong Manh Cuong, briefly informed the delegation of socio-economic achievements of the district.
Currently, Binh Lieu has two border communes, seven border hamlets that signed brotherhood memorandum with those in Fangchenggang zone. Accordingly, people living in the border areas of the two sides usually jointly organize cultural and sports activites to strengthen the traditional and long-lasting relationships, contributing to enhance relation between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China.
In addition, Binh Lieu district and Fangchenggang zone have currently worked closely to effectively deal with various issues concerning border management, anti-smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods, illegal export and the construction of river banks and boundary stone.
In 2018, the two localities together accomplished essential procedures to implement the project of building a bridge over the border gates of Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) and Dongzhong (China).
The Secretary of Binh Lieu District Party’s Committee showed his hope for better mutual cooperation between the two sides in various areas. He also proposed the Fangchenggang zone’s leader to jointly speed up the implemetation of the scheme on approving the bilateral border gates, boosting the development of the two areas in particular and two countries in general.
Secretary Lu Haixin, on behalf of Fangchenggang zone, agreed to continue to acclerate the cooperation and solidarity between Binh Lieu and Fangchengang in the future.
On the occasion of upcoming tradditional Tet, he sent the best wishes for a happy and prosperous year to the Party, local government and people in the border district of Binh Lieu.
| Located in the eastern part of Quang Ninh province and bordered with China, Binh Lieu is home to ethnic groups such as Tay, San, Chi and Dao and endowed with many stunning landscapes as well as attractive cultural features. Tourists can visit tourist sites such as Luc Na communal house, Khe Van waterfall, Khe Thien waterfall, Mooc A waterfall, border roads, etc. They can also trek up mountains to admire various wild flowers and fruits, enjoy the beauty of immense terraced rice fields and learn more about the daily life of ethnic people living in stilt houses scattered around mounts and hills. In addition, listening to the traditional singing of Soong Co and Then performed by the Tay ethnic people is regarded as a really special experience during the time tourists stay in Binh Lieu. Binh Lieu also has a border gate market where tourists can shop for some souvenirs, garments and food. |
