According to Mr. Le Thanh Nhan, head of ‘s of Culture - Information office of Mong Cai city in a recent meeting with the delegation of Dongxing City Tourism Bureau (China), Dongxing delegates have proposed leaders of Mong Cai City to implement the project on permitting travelers to drive across the border gate between Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) .
This project has been approved by Dongxing government. Therefore they proposed that each province will assign a travel agency to undertake all procedures that enable travelers to drive across the border gate; Under this project, Vietnamese travelers are allowed to drive to JiangPing, Dongxi, while Chinese travelers are permitted to drive to Km15- Dan Tien wharf and Tra Co beach, Mong Cai City.
