On November 11th, at Quang Yen town, Viglacera Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony to start on the construction of the Dong Mai industrial zone. Attending the ceremony, there were the presence of Vice- Chairman of QNPPC Dang Huy Hau, representative leaders of relevant departments under the Construction Ministry; Planning and Investment Ministry as well as representatives of the relevant departments of Quang Ninh.
The Dong Mai industrial zone project covering 160ha, with the total investment capital of 1,200 bln was established under the Decision No 2267/QĐ-UBND by the QNPPC. It is one of the 11 industrial zones under the master plan for industrial zone development of Quang Ninh province to the year of 2015 and in the orientation to 2020. It is expected to provide domestic and foreign investors with the best conditions to conveniently continue their investment in Quang Ninh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Huy Hau said that Quang Ninh PPC will adjust its economic development structure, including reducing the proportion of heavy industry development (especially to the industries affecting the environment) but increasing the proportion of the supportive industries with hi-tech and friendly to the environment to ensure a sustainable economic development. Therefore, the Dong Mai industrial zone construction project not only creates the favourable investment environment for enterprises, attracts hi-tech projects but also helps to speed up the industrialization, modernization process and developing Quang Ninh into a industrial province oriented to modernization by the year of 2015.
Also at the ceremony, representative of Viglacera Corporation affirmed that all the resources will be employed to speed up the construction of synchronous and modern infrastructure in order to put the industrial zone into its operation, preparing clear land to welcome domestic and international investors to Dong Mai industrial zone.
