On May 26, Quang Ninh Provincial Standing Party’s Committee held a meeting to discuss some important issues. Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, attendants listened to a report on urban development planning of Quang Ninh to the year of 2030. There are 13 urban areas in the province. With the urbanization rate of 64.09%, Quang Ninh is among 3 localities in the country with the highest rate of urbanization. The urban development planning have been adjusted for several times with the aim of sustainably developing urban area system, gradually building the urban area system into an urban chain, becoming a driving-force in the North in particular and the country in general, improving the quality of urban life… These are important factors to reach the target of developing Quang Ninh into a central city by 2030.
Also on May 26, Quang Ninh Provincial Standing Party’s Committee gave opinions on some other important contents.
