Customs clearance via Bac Luan 2 bridge border gate officially resumed
Import and export activities at Bac Luan 2 Border Gate resumed on April 26 after being closed for two months because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an attempt to ensure pandemic prevention meaures, customs clearance procedures wil be restored in 4 stages including handling goods stuck in the monitored area, returning cargo vehicles stored in China and Vietnam’s yards, resuming the clearance of fozen goods and implementing normal customs operations.
This plan is based on the content of online talks between the People's Committee of Mong Cai City and the government of Dong Hung city (China) on April 24, 2022 with a view to discussing measures to speed up the customs clearance between the two localities in the time to come in association with the effective implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control.
The clearance customs procedures for frozen goods has yet to resolved. The People's Committee of Mong Cai City will notify later.
In recent times, Mong Cai has co-operated with relevant units as it aims to take drastic anti-pandemic measures along with flexible adaptation to the pandemic situation, while simultaneously maintaining a safe green zone, especially in the border gate area.
