Zen is a tranquility that requires the attention to an object without thinking about anything else. From being practiced by monks, zen is now being performed by buddhists. Therefore, the combination of culture experience tourism, medical tourism with zen brings a lot of benefits to visitors as well as tourism enterprises.
Zentourism is a kind of tourism which tourists can participate in zen-based cutural activities, making them feel relaxed or following a new way of life. Developing zentourism does not lose the mystical and sacred beauty of Buddhist relics, even effectively exploiting humanistic tourism resources. Coming to Yen Tu relic site and experiencing spiritual tourism, visitors are immersed in the airy atmosphere of forests and mountains. According to Mrs Nguyen Thi Thu Huong from Vinh Phuc province, Yen Tu relic site is a peaceful land where brings a lot of energy to tourists and many of them like her want to visit there every year to practice yoga.
Besides Uong Bi, Dong Trieu, Quang Yen, other localities such as Ha Long, Cam Pha, Van Don, Mong Cai have many pagodas. Quang Ninh province now has two large zen monasteries, including Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Monastery (in Uong Bi city) and Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery (in Van Don district) with temples and pagodas hidden in the pure mountain space which is suitable to develop zentourism.
Recently, Quang Ninh was chosen as a venue of the 6th International Day of Yoga, 2020. The impressive yoga ensemble at Square Oct., 30 attracted over 3,500 participants, contributing to advertising Quang Ninh’s land and people.
