Over the previous years, the field of culture, literature and arts of the province has seen significant development, although there are still shortcomings as follows:
The investment in cultural development is not commensurate with economic growth; system of cultural institutions, works of art, high quality entertainment places are still very poor and incomprehensive. There are not many large-scale cultural projects. The composition and performance activities do not meet the actual demand of the audiences. The socialization of cultural activities is limited; the operation mode of several organizations and agencies specialized in culture is still slowly innovated.
Yen Tu Relic will be soon nominated to be recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site
In the coming period, the province will also increase the rate of investment and financial support from the state budget for culture. In order to gain more investment resources for culture, the socialization is enhanced by encouraging organizations and individuals, and all economic sectors to participate in investment activities in culture
To improve the quality of culture, human resource is considered as a vital factor. Therefore, the infrastructure investment to meet the training requirements of the Ha Long College of Arts, Culture and Tourism will be enhanced aiming at providing human resource for teaching art at schools, and provide young talented actors for the art unions and cultural movements of the locals and organizations within the province.
In addition, training courses in overseas and within the country for talented artists will be also focused. Training and retraining activities will be enhanced so that the teachers could have adequate qualification and moral qualities; joint training programs and inviting experts to teach at schools will be also promoted. Recruiting and sending prospective students who have talent of culture and art to abroad for training. Artists and writers are all facilitated with the best conditions and warmly welcome to work in Quang Ninh province.
