Being a potential locality for high quality sea and island tourism development, recently, Co To District’s authority has simultaneously implemented solutions to provide tourists with the best services.
Co To welcomes over 3,500 tourist arrivals every week on summer tourism season.
In order to improve the quality of services and facilities serving tourists, in recent months, Co To District’s authority has issued documents to assign specific tasks requiring close coordination among the departments, units, localities and asking tourism businesses and transport units to constantly invest in improving infrastructure and service quality towards sustainable tourism development, thereby meeting the diverse needs of tourists.
Up to now, the whole district has 280 accommodation establishments, including 63 one-three star ones. Currently, 100% of establishments for accommodation and tourist service business in the district have publicly listed service prices and signed commitments not to increase the price of services.
With the aim of keeping the environment clean and serving sustainable tourism development, Co To District has mobilized owners of tourism businesses, locals and tourists to protect the environment and clean up the beaches of Hong Van, Van Chay. Along with that, the district has invested in upgrading electric car parking lots to receive passengers and mobilized electric car trade union’s staff members to wear uniform and cards on duty, contributing to creating a cultural and civilized communication with tourists.
According to statistics, from the beginning of the year, Co To district welcomed over 71,000 tourist arrivals, including 1,748 international one with a total tourism revenue of over 173 billion VND.
Through the public opinion poll, visitors are satisfied with the quality of tourism products and services in Co To.
