In the morning of Oct. 1st, the delegation from Quang Ninh province led by Mr Nguyen Van Doc, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, chairman of QNPPC paid a working visit to 3 provinces in Northern Laos, namely Luang Prabang; Xaignabouri and Houaphan.
On the first working day, the delegation made a stopover at Vientiane capital and had a courtesy meeting with the Prime Minister of Laos - Thongsing Thammavong at his private residence.
Prime Minister of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr Nguyen Van Doc and delegation of Quang Ninh province to have a working visit in Laos. He hopes that after this visit, Quang Ninh will continue to share initiatives and experiences in economic development to support Laos’ localities and for the common development of people of the two countries.
Mr. Nguyen Van Doc sincerely thanked Laos’ Prime Minister and Ambassador of Vietnam in Laos for their warm welcome to the delegation. He informed that the purpose of this working visit of the delegation is to explore investment opportunities and exchange experiences in many areas with 3 provinces in the Northern Laos.
On this occasion, Mr. Chairman of QNPPC has also officially invited the Laos’ Prime Minister and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Laos to visit Quang Ninh in the coming time. He also proposed Laos’ Prime Minister and Ambassador of Vietnam in Laos to mobilize Laos officials and people to vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.
On behalf of Quang Ninh’s officials and people, Mr. Chairman has gifted typical souvenirs of Quang Ninhto Laos’ Prime Minister, Vietnamese Ambassador, and their spouses.
