The northern province of Quang Ninh has made progress in the project to bring power to Co To island. The project has achieved remarkable success in rapid implementation and quality of the work.
The project, which was inaugurated late 2012 by the Northern Power Corporation, is being built with a total capital of VND1.1 trillion.
This is the first project in Vietnam involving 22kV underground cable technology on the sea floor.
As of late September 2013, the installation of underground cable system had been completed.
In good weather conditions, workers are installing cable from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
