On Apr. 4, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long hosted a reception for the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick, on the occasion of his working visit to Quang Ninh.
At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Duc Long warmly welcomed the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick to Quang Ninh province, and made a brief introduction of Quang Ninh's socio-economic development in recent years.
"Australia is one of the foreign partners with whom Quang Ninh wishes to enhance cooperation", he added.
Having said that, Quang Ninh’s chairman hoped that the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam would help build a bridge to foster the partnership cooperation between Quang Ninh and Australia's localities in fields of tourism, logistics, and human resource training. He particularly focused on the cooperation of the two sides in boosting tours from Australia to Vietnam via the Van Don International Airport.
Craig Chittick, in his turn, congratulated Quang Ninh on its socio-economic achievements, and highly appreciated the province's policies to attract foreign investment. He pledged to make his best to bolster the relationship of the two countries of Australia and Vietnam in general, and between Australian localities and Quang Ninh in particular, thereby effectively promoting advantages and potentials of each side during their development process.
