In the framework of the Vietnam-China International Trade –Tourism Fair 2011 held in Mong Cai, an international workshop on cooperation and development of Trade, Tourism, Services and Investment in border area of Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) has been held on Dec. 16th in Mong Cai city.
Attending the workshop, there was presence of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - vice-chairman of QNPPC, Mr. Bui Van Thang - deputy head of Development Strategy Institute (under the Ministry of Planning and Investment); Mr. Xi Yang, vice-chairman of Fangchenggang city (China) and over 200 representatives, scholars of the two countries.
This workshop mainly focuses on major groups of basic issues, namely improving cooperative relationship in terms of economy, trade tourism, services and investment; difficulties and limitations in trade, services, tourism and investment cooperation; objective and subjective causes as well as solutions for these issues in the coming time; the roles of trade and tourism promotion units; and measures for investment attraction, especially in upgrading infrastructure of tourism and transport …
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh has revealed some major focuses of the official visit to China by General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party – Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong and his accompanied high-ranking delegation that successfully ended on October 15 2011. Accordingly, Vietnam and China affirmed to continue strengthening the stable and friendship through cooperative programs.
This workshop has created a forum for participants to study, discuss and exchange information with each other and enrich their understanding about the two countries creating more cooperation opportunities, especially attracting investments of Chinese enterprises in Vietnam.
