Tien Yen District People's Committee has proposed the Quang Ninh People's Committee for consideration of setting up the plan for upgrading and promoting values of Hoang Can temple.
Accordingly, the work is expected to commence in 2017 with the total investment capital of over VND 60 billion. Tien Yen District also proposed the province to recognise this historic relic as a local tourism attraction.
Located in Ha Dong Helmet, Hai Lang commune, Tien Yen district, the temple was first built in Nguyen dynasty period to dedicate Hoang Can Lord, a local hero who had great contribution to the nation's defence and struggling against the invaders. It was not upgraded for a long time ago due to the history's ups and downs until 2012.
Hoang Can historic relic is expected to be a new spiritual tourism destination attracting visitors to Quang Ninh. It will not only help to maintain and promote historic and cultural values of the relic but also contribute to the tourism development of Tien Yen district in particular and Quang Ninh in general.
