On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Mong Cai border city has welcomed the first visitors coming to Vietnam. The first group includes 142 tourists from Hongkong visiting Mong Cai and Ha Noi.
On the same day, Mong Cai city has received 600 tourists who are mainly from China entering Vietnam through the Mong Cai border gate city.
It is forecasted that this number will be around 2,000 on the second day of Tet festival. As reported, the number of tourists coming to the city has sharply increased in comparision to the same period, last year, which is said to be a good sign for Mong Cai tourism.
